![]()

You can make changes to your VetPet list membership automatically by E-mailing specific commands to this address:
majordomo@vetpetpartners.org
* Note this command address is NOT the same as the address for posting list messages
* You must E-mail your commands from exactly the SAME address with which you joined the list
* You must specify whether the command is for regular VETPET list or VETPET-DIGEST list
To make any of the following changes in your subscription:
Address an E-mail to: majordomo@vetpetpartners.org
Type any of the following commands in the MESSAGE AREA of the mail (case insensitive). Just type the command words and then Send the E-mail. (The words in the parentheses below are just to explain what each command is for. Do not add any other words to the command such as "please" or "thank you" or your name. The list software will reject any command with words it does not recognize).

TO RETRIEVE FILES FROM ARCHIVE:
ADDRESS MESSAGE TO: Majordomo@vetpetpartners.org
LEAVE SUBJECT LINE BLANK
PUT ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS IN MESSAGE BODY:
index vetpet (to get index of all files available, shows DATES
only, so not helpful if you are looking for a subject title, only
useful if you know exactly what date the desired message was
originally posted.)
get vetpet TOPICS (to get list of message TITLES presented
alphabetically so if you know a message was titled "Parvo", you
can go straight to the P's to find its date for retrieval.)
or (recommended):
get vetpet CONTENTS (to get full list of recently archived messages listed
CHRONOLOGICALLY with oldest at beginning of list and most recent at
end of list.)
Once you have received any one of these listings and you have determined the
DATE of the message or messages you wish to review, then do the
following:
SEND ANOTHER NEW MESSAGE TO: Majordomo@vetpetpartners.org
PUT IN MESSAGE BODY THE "GET" COMMAND PLUS THE FILE NAME, such as:
get vetpet vetpet.021214
("get vetpet" is the command, and "vetpet.021214" stands for
the vetpet date file you need, with 021214 meaning the year '02,
month 12 (Dec.), and day 14 (the 14th). Also NOTE that the word
vetpet appears TWICE in this retrieval command. And because it
is a computer file you are naming, there must be the dot in
vetpet.021214)
Once this command is properly executed and sent you will receive full
reprints of the vetpet messages for the date you have specified.
YOU MAY request multiple date files in ONE REQUEST message as follows:
get vetpet vetpet.031214
get vetpet vetpet.031215
get vetpet vetpet.031216
DO NOT space between lines. This example would retrieve archives for
December 14, 15, and 16 of 2003. You may mix any dates in a multiple
request message like this or you may request each in a
separate message. Each day's full listing will be sent to
you in a separate response message identified by its date.
The archive file is unfortunately limited in size and is cleared by the automatic list management system periodically. Full archive records are retained by listowners. But do not hesitate to ask a question or open a topic that has been discussed before. There are new members all the time and it is much easier and more accurate to raise a question anew than to rely on archived information that may be outdated.
All archived messages are the sole property of VetPet Partners and not released for distribution or reproduction in other venues without
express permission.
